Books have been a huge life saver for me, because they calm me down, allow me to dive into characters' life for a while & clear my thoughts. Every time I feel down, I just step out of the computer, grab a book & have a long session of reading. I especially love to do it before I go to bed, as it helps me to fall asleep faster.
2. Friends & Family
Being around people who appreciates & loves you is one of the most important things. These people will instantly fill you with positive energy. Even if you feel like sitting all alone by yourself, at least consider an option of going to your family or friend & just have a nice talk.
3. Create a mood board/inspirational board
I have an inspirational board, hanging on my wall, and I constantly change things up there. I love to put some motivational quotes, photos, pics & other stuff on the board and then look at it when I need a boost of inspiration. Basically, it works as Pinterest or Tumblr, except the fact that you have your board in real life.
Music can have a truly magical impact on your mood. One thing I really like to do is put on my headphones, turn on some nice tunes & look out of the window. It helps me to relax & clear my thoughts. Maybe, I'll make a playlist on the blog with my favorite songs for relaxation.
This is my new obsession! And let me tell ya, I'm totally not a great cook or anything, but I enjoy making simple meals. As you may know already, I eat clean most of the time, and you'll be surprised, but there's actually an endless amount of healthy things you can make. I've mastered granola, as I've cooked it about 100 times by now and my new goal is to try different cookie recipes with oat flour. OK, I kinda wandered from the point. But you see? I'm totally hooked on it!
6. Write In A Journal
I find it really therapeutic to write down some of my thoughts in a journal. Sometimes I'd just sit with a cup of coffee & a journal and just write there whatever comes to my mind. I actually like to have a notebook with me all the time, because I often get new ideas unexpectedly. Also, writing stuff down on paper always works better for me, rather than doing it on a laptop.
7. Get Outside
I can't even stress how much better I feel when I get outside of my apartment for a walk. Even if it's just 30 min stroll with my dog, it still feels amazing. And the thing is I'm not always feeling like going anywhere, but a lot of the times these are the very moments to get yourself together and step outside. Trust me, you'll feel better afterwards.
8. Pampering session
Taking time for myself is one of the things I'm still learning to do. At times I think that I don't have enough time for a bubble bath or a full pedicure, but it's really important to treat yourself. I try to make an hour of full relaxation on the weekends & make myself a nice bath, do mani, pedi, face masks, etc. It's not only helps me to recharge, but also makes me feel good about myself.
