How Working Out Changed My Life

Let's talk about one of my favorite topics! I don't write about sport and fitness here that often, but it's actually a huge part of my life. If you follow me on instagram and watch my Stories, you know that for the last 2 months I've been actively going to the gym pretty much every single day and also taking boxing classes, which had been a dream of mine for such a long time!

I seriously can't tell you how much I love those boxing sessions! There's just something so satisfying about throwing punches and kicks and releasing all the negativity from you mind! I always feel like I feel 100 times better after every workout. It's also probably the first sport that really lets me focus on my performance, rather than loosing weight/getting fit. Of course, you also get all of that with all the intense training, but it's never the focus of my workout, which is really refreshing.

CONFIDENCE. Mostly what working out did for me is given me that boost of confidence. Not even the kind of confidence that I look good or can run 10 miles, but rather the feeling of being strong and powerful. And that's something you don't really need to show off, you just know that you have it in you.

BETTER SHAPE. Obviously, the more you work on yourself, the better shape you get into. It's not my only goal when I'm working out anymore, but it's still a huge part. I mean we all wanna look hot as hell, right? Seeing my progress makes me incredibly happy. And mostly I love seeing how my body changes. My weight may not shift, but I can feel those abs toning up and my arms getting stronger and leaner. Trust me, that's the best feeling!

IT'S A FORM OF MEDITATION. Yes, working out for me is a form of meditation. I may not be catching zen, sitting in yogi position, but I do get that sense of serenity while I'm in the middle of my session, as well as afterwards. And yeah, some moments I may be in pain and secretly swear to myself (don't tell me you don't do that in the middle of your burpee set!), but ultimately I'm still calm in my mind. And as I've mentioned before, I feel like I'm letting go of all the stress and negativity in that one hour of the day.

So, those are 3 things that sport did for me. I no longer do my workouts to get thinner, I do them for so many more reasons!

I'd love to know your reasons for working out as well. Let's motivate and inspire each other!💪
