How To Make Working Out A Lifestyle

I'm finally at that stage of my life when I can say that I truly love working out, not just for the sake of a better body, but even more for my mind. I've come to accept working out as a part of my life and something that I do regularly without even thinking twice about it. Right now that 1 hour in a day is my "me time" that I wouldn't really trade for anything else, but it wasn't always like that. Here are a few things that helped turn working out into a natural part of my everyday life:

Find what works for you

I've been to multiple classes and worked out both from home and at the gym, and it took me quite some time to figure out what activities I like more, what works for my body and what gives me the most satisfaction afterwords. While some love cardio and don't really feel comfortable lifting weights, others might feel their best at a yoga class. For me my holy grail turned out to be boxing! I've never felt better after any other type of workout, and that's one class that just makes me feel stronger, powerful and capable of anything. I also do other types of workouts, and it all really depends on the day, so I'd suggest trying as many options as you can to find what works best for you.

Make it accessible

I can't stress enough how important it is to make it easy to have access to your gym at any time. And what I mean by that, is that you can choose to workout from home, you can have a gym membership or you can always just go outside (maybe not in Russian winter though), but what's important is that you don't have to spend half an hour just to get to a gym. Otherwise, you just won't feel like going there, and your gym membership would be a waste of time and money.

Feel your best

That goes for clothing as much as for everything else, but I especially wanna point out that aspect, because I personally feel so much better and more confident when I'm wearing cute gym clothes. It's just about how you perceive yourself and how comfortable you really are while you're working out. I don't think that I have to say much else here, we all need cute sportswear!

Plan ahead

Another thing that I've been doing is planning my workouts. Whether I'm going to a gym or working out from home that day, I need to know that this hour in my day would be dedicated to myself. If I don't do that, I just risk overworking and getting caught up in that thing called "life", and before you know it it's time to go to bed, and you didn't get a chance to workout 3d day in a row. Should definitely be avoided!
